Expedition 013: Cane Rosso

Challenge

We took an entrepreneur’s pizza truck and turned it into a restaurant with a multifaceted brand. A brand that represents the place that inspired him to get into the pizza business and name it Cane Rosso, Italy and dogs.

 

Discovery

Cane Rosso is a Jester brand. We created the brand based off a “red dog” image that the owner found in Italy, making for a fun, and sometimes funny, brand. Pizza is a fun food, one that should never be taken too seriously (even if you do win the coveted “Vera Pizza Neoplanta” and Best Pizza in Dallas every year since opening).

Activation

We launched the brand with the opening of the Deep Ellum restaurant, where every touchpoint from menus to truck wraps reflected their brand’s truth.

Impact

Since launching the Cane Rosso brand in 2009, they have become the most well known and revered pizza joint in Dallas (Austin and Houston, too). With a recognizable voice, brand identity and art elements, we took a small pizza trailer and helped turn it into one of the most beloved brands in Texas.
