Expedition 127: Kimberly-Clark I & D

Challenge

Inclusion and Diversity wasn’t new to Kimberly-Clark. In fact, over the last decade their percentage of ethnically and gender diverse hiring and promotion practices had risen to the point that in 2018 K-C made Forbes magazine’s “America’s Best Employers for Diversity” and “Best Employers for Women” lists.

Despite these successes, the recent instances of social injustice and civil unrest gave the country as a whole a stark reminder that discrimination is still a threat. Kimberly-Clark reached out to us to help give their Inclusion and Diversity Department and content a brand and voice that could be taken to their over 40,000 global employees.

Discovery

Kimberly-Clark had an Inclusion & Diversity department with literally hundreds of pages of critical thinking, research and information that was imperative for expanding the reach of their I&D mission and platform. They needed our help in giving their platform a name, identity and  more digestible voice for their diverse employee base.


Activation

We created a brand and voice for their department and platform that both complimented and stood out in their corporate culture. We helped bucket their mission into easily actionable pillars that we branded, wrote concise copy and action for, and ultimately delivered across multiple platforms. The brand identity, pillars and content were launched at 2020’s Global Inclusion Week and is continuing to have a presence and make an impact across Kimberly-Clark and its brands.
