The Texas-born founders, who had roots in Tennessee, wanted a true Texas brand. With a history like theirs, we leaned on Texas history to create this Rebel brand.
Activation/Manifesto
Who do you name a whiskey after in the great state of Texas? Sam Houston, of course - the father of the Texas Revolution. From the famous fighters for Texas independence to the local “sons” that will be drinking at The Localist, we’re all “sons & daughters” of Texas. And just like our distiller’s Tennessee roots, one of Texas’ most famous sons and former Tennessee native, Davy Crockett once said, “You may all go to hell, I’m going to Texas.” And when you get here, have a shot of Sam & Sons on us.
